Reports to: VP/Director of Sales and Marketing Job purpose : PrimeWare is one of the leading manufacturers of environmentally friendly bagasse tableware. Bagasse is the fibrous residue left after processing sugar cane, and is used to produce compostable plates, bowls, platters and hinged containers. Prior national sales management experience is highly desired. This is not an entry level position. This is a new position. The main objectives of this job are: 1. Generate and manage new business, specifically in the following market segments: Foodservice Distribution; Chain Restaurants; Paper Supply Companies; Retail Business. 2. Assist the VP/Director of Sales and Marketing managing/growing current customer base. Key responsibilities and accountabilities: 1. Prepare an action/follow-up plan for finding sales leads and prospective customers. 2. Develop a sales plan, and strategy to achieve the plan, with senior management. 3. Assist in the development of new marketing and sales efforts for PrimeWare. 4. Attend industry trade shows as requested. 5. Develop pricing for prospective customers based on company profitability goals. 6. Coordinate new business with the all company departments to optimize efficiencies and ensure customer satisfaction. 7. Maintain scheduled contact with current customer base to keep in touch with what is happening in the market. 8. Use our CRM system to track prospect and customer interaction and activity. 9. Meet with senior management regularly to: a. Discuss short and long term sales goals. b. Analyze sales reports. c. Discuss market conditions. d. Discuss progress on new account generation.
Dimensions and scope of job: 1. Interaction with all PLS team members in a cooperative manner, striving to optimize quality of service, business growth, and customer satisfaction. 2. Support PLS company-wide sales activities by helping to integrate all organized PrimeWare sales activities, such as product launches, promotions, advertising, trade shows and telemarketing efforts. 3. Organization, versatility and flexibility are required for this position. 4. Travel required. Minimum Job Requirements 1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 2. A thorough working knowledge of MS Office programs. 3. A college degree, and a minimum of 5 years industry sales experience is required. 4. A strong understanding of customer and market dynamics. 5. A proven ability to excel in an unsupervisored work environment. 6. Foreign language ability is helpful, but not required.
